COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) 2018

CAT Registration 2018:

• The registration window for this exam will be opened from the 8th August 2018 through online mode.
• The last date of registration for CAT 2018 is 19th September 2018.
• Upload your images in a JPG/JPEG format. (Dimension for Photograph is 30mm X 45mm, and for Signature is 30mm X 45mm, Size should not be more than 80KB).
• If candidate belongs to NC- OBC/SC/ST/PWD category they have to attach their category certificate.
• At the time of registration, the candidate can choose four cities as per their preference for the exam.
• Candidate should carry a printed copy of CAT application form 2018.

Registration Fee:

• Candidates can use online payment modes to pay the registration fee.
• Candidates can use credit cards (Visa/Master/Amex/Diners Club), debit cards (Visa/Master/Rupay), net banking and Cash Card & Wallet as an online payment mode.

Application Correction:

Correction facility in the application will provide by the institution. All correction related details are mentioned below:

• Candidates can make a correction in the application in the fourth week of September 2018 through online mode.
• Correction in CAT 2018  will be done only in some particulars.
• As per last year, the correction will be allowed only in some personal details such as category, address gender,  educational information, experience, exam city preferences, interview city preference etc.
• Candidates have to register again with a new email ID If they made mistake in communication address, personal details, other personal details, uploaded documents.
• Candidates will use User ID & password for correction.

CAT Preparation Tips:

Some CAT preparation tips & tricks for students are -

• Firstly, understand the syllabus & exam pattern by going through previous years question papers & official guidelines.
• Doing study from the reputable study material & CAT books.
• Make short tricks & important topics.
• Avoid unhealthy food/drinks and stay fit & healthy.
• Solve online mock papers every day.
• Revise all section within a week.

CAT Admit Card 2018:

Candidates can download their admit card on 24th October 2018. For some more information, candidates can look at this section.

• Admit card for CAT 2018  will be issued through online mode only.
• For CAT hall ticket candidate have to enter their USER ID & Password.
• Admit card will not be issued through offline mode.
• Candidates should carry a valid admit card along with one photo ID proof on  Examination Day.

CAT 2018 Admission Procedure:

• Centralized counseling will not be conducted by the Institution.
• Every Institution has its own competency & admission criteria (including relative weights and academic cut-offs ) for admission into management courses.
• Interview call letters will send by each IIM to the shortlisted candidates directly. The selection criteria vary from IIM to IIM for shortlisting.
• Candidates have to appear in the Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT),  & Personal Interviews (PI) rounds after qualifying CAT exam
• The admission will be given on the basis of the candidate’s previous academic performance, relevant work experience & short-listing of candidates.

CAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree awarded by any recognized university or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and in case of SC/ST/PWD, Candidates should have at least 45% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

CAT Cut Off 2017:

The admission in management programme will be based on CAT 2018 Cut Off marks. Check here cut off releasing date, previous year cut off, mode etc.

• After a few days of examination, cut off will be released through online mode in the last week of November 2018.
• The cut off will be announced as per the categories, sections & IIMs.

CAT Answer Keys 2018:

In the first week of December 2018, answer key along with CAT question paper will be published. Answer key of CAT 2018  will be published only through online mode on the website. Candidates will challenge the answer key by filling objection form & submit it till the last date. They can check the answer keys & quiestion papers through login on the main website. 

CAT 2018 Result:

The result details including releasing date,  scorecard, mode, etc are given here:

• In the second week of January 2019, Candidates will view their results
• The list of selected candidates for the next level will be published through online mode on the website.
• Scorecard of CAT 2018 will be available through online mode on the official website.
• Intimation will be given to the individual candidates through SMS by the Institution.
• The scorecard will be valid for one year
• Candidates can download the scorecard by entering User ID & Password.
