SNAP 2018 (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is administrated by the Symbiosis International University. It is an entrance examination of university level through which candidates can get admission in various associated institutions of Symbiosis University for management courses (MBA). Applicants can get the complete details about SNAP 2018 exam inclusive important dates, competency criteria, application form, dates, exam pattern, syllabus, etc.

SNAP Registration 2018

Here candidates can check the process of filling up SNAP application form 2018:
  • Applicants will have to register by online mode only.
  • From the second week of August 2018 Candidates will be able to register online.
  • Last date for registration will be during the last week of November 2018.
  • Attached the scanned image of recent colored passport size photograph.
  • Do the fee payment through online or offline mode.

Application Fee:

  • Applicants will make payment by online mode using credit card or net banking.
  • Payment can also be done using Bill desk Gateway, Axis Bank Gateway, Indian Bank Gateway & Demand Draft.
  • The fee of application will be Rs. 1750/- for all candidates.
  • Demand draft should be drawn in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” which is payable at Pune.
  • Payment through DD, applicants have to send the required documents along with DD to the address mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Person of Indian Origin (PIO),Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Non Resident Indian (NRI) and Foreign National (FN), applicants can also apply.
  • Qualification: Students should have cleared graduation from any recognized university or valid institution.
  • Aggregate: Candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks (for general candidates) and 45% (for SC/ST candidates).
  • Foreign Qualification: Applicants who have completed their qualifying degree from any university of foreign or institution must obtain the equivalent certificate from the regulating body like Association of Indian Universities.

SNAP Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted via online mode.
  • Duration: The duration of the test will be of 120 minutes.
  • Type of Question: Questions are in the manner of objective. Every question has 4 responses.
  • Marking Scheme: On each correct answer, one mark will be given.
  • Negative Marking:25% negative marks will be done for each wrong answer.

SNAP Syllabus

The SNAP syllabus will include several topics such as General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General English and Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. The detailed course of study is given below:

General Awareness:
Sentence completion, Sentence correction, Foreign language words used in English, Comprehension of passage (including poems), Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Contextual usage, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, disarrange paragraphs with four or five sentences, Disarrange paragraphs (6 sentences with first and last fixed), Odd man out, Idioms, One word substitution, various usage of same word, etc.
Quantitative Ability:
Allegation & Mixtures, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Pipes and Cisterns, , Set Theory,  Probability Installment Payments, Clocks, Venn Diagram,, Vectors, Binomial Expansion, Trigonometry,   Permutations & Combinations, Co-ordinate geometry, Logarithm, Calendar, Geometry, Ratios and Proportion, Percentages, Algebra, Partnership, Time-Speed-Distance, Work and time, Profit & Loss, Averages, Number system, Highest Common Factor & Least Common Multiple, Geometric Progression, Arithmetic progression, In-equations Quadratic and linear equations,  Arithmetic mean, Median, Mode, Number Base System, BODMAS, Maxima & Minima Progression, Surds & Indices, Complex numbers, etc.

Reasoning:
Linear arrangements, Functions, Matrix arrangements, Probably false, definitely true, Syllogisms, Family tree – identifying relationship among group of people,  definitely false kind of statement, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding ,Identifying next number in series, ,Sequencing ,Puzzles, Data Interpretation based on text, graphs and tables. Graphs can be Bar Graphs, Line charts, Venn diagram, Pie Chart, Column graphs, Graphs representing Area, etc. Assumption-Premise-Conclusion,  Critical reasoning, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, Identifying valid inference Visual reasoning, Identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Cause and Effect, Statements and conclusions, Identifying Probably true, etc.

How to Prepare for SNAP

  • Applicants should have complete knowledge about the syllabus before preparing for the exam.
  • Applicants have to follow the best books and study materials which are available in the market and the Internet to score good marks in the examination.
  • You can also take help with your coaching institutions and teachers.
  • Do not try new topics at the end and go through the previous year question papers.
  • Never neglect your health while preparing for the exam and stay stress-free. 

SNAP Admit Card 2018
  • Admit Card of SNAP 2018 will be available via online mode.
  • The admit card will be available in the first week of December 2018.
  • Admit Card along with Photo Identity Proof should be kept together to the exam center at the time of the test.
  • Please assure that your latest passport size, a colored photograph is pasted on the admit card at the place provided for before appearing for the exam.
  • For further processes preserve the SNAP Hall Ticket.

SNAP 2018 Answer Key
SNAP exam will be held via online mode. No answer key for the SNAP exam will be released. Some another coaching institutions may also release the SNAP answer key.
Answer key will contain correct answers to the question asked in the exam. Students can calculate their rough marks for the examination through the answer key.

SNAP Result 2018
  • Result of SNAP 2018 will be provided to students in the last week of December 2018.
  • Applicants will check the result through online mode.
  • Applicants will be shortlisted for various rounds like Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interaction on the basis of SNAP Score.
  • The final merit list will be prepared on the following basis:

SNAP Cut-off
The cut-off is the minimum marks scored by the applicants to qualify in the entrance exam. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of cut-off. SNAP cut-off for 2018 will be prepared on the basis of the SNAP exam score (out of 150, scaled down to 50 marks),) Personal Interaction (PI), Group Exercise (GE and Writing Ability Test (WAT). The category-wise cut off for merit list and wait list will be displayed through online mode through the website.

To Apply:

SNAP Admission 2018
  • Applicants can go for the SNAP admission procedure after releasing of result and cut-off.
  • The admission procedure will consist of three stages, i.e. Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (. GE-PIWAT).
  • Admissions will be done as per the applicant’s performance in the SNAP exam 2018 & other admission rounds.
  • Seats will be allotted to applicants as per their rank and availability of seats in institution or college.
